70 years ago it all started with the sale of photo articles.
Driven by their passion for photography, Mr. and Mrs. Sprey founded the photo studio and store in 1949 where they mainly created portrait pictures. In addition, they sold everything related to photography.
The first expansion and reorientation from the sale of photographic articles to advertising photography.
With the move into the old Mercedes hall of Sibbing, first steps in the direction of advertising photography were taken. During this period, Ewald Sprey Jr. joined his parents business for a smooth takeover.
Construction of the new hall… Foto Sprey expands to a production area of 1400m2.
Until now products from various industries are photographed here – from fashion and home textiles to interior furniture and leisure products.
Along with this step Photo Sprey was able to expand its capabilities and the portfolio.
1999: half a century! Ewald Sprey Jr. gives a speech for the 50th anniversary.
He thanked the employees and the loyal customers for the long and successful cooperation.
In 2005, Photo Sprey joined the movement to digital photography. A difficult step for Ewald Sprey Jr., because he had to give up his much-loved developing equipment.
Thus a new era in the company Photo Sprey began. During this period, Arnd Winkler and Michael Wegner joined the company.
In 2014, the company was handed over to long-time employees Arnd Winkler (authorized signatory) and Michael Wegner (managing director). They not only took over the company, but also its values that had been nurtured for decades. Love of craftsmanship, love of design, and always dealing fairly with customers and employees are what makes Photo Sprey stand out.
Foto Sprey gets a new logo after a long time since it was time to bring it into the modern era as well. At the same time, our desktop publishing department was enlarged and renovated. There was a complete upgrade – from furniture to technology. The portfolio was expanded by graphic design. Until today we are successful with our media designers, especially in the field of editing and processing images and videos.Â
Photo Sprey invests in green electricity and is thus largely self-sufficient.
In this way, we make a small contribution to our environment and our employees also benefit.
The first E cars arrive. In cooperation with a local car dealer, we offer an electronic company car to our employees. The picture shows the first two cars straight out of the production line.
